YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!

Medicinal Mushrooms with Bryce Sorenson

May 7, 2021

“The power that one's body and mind has over everything is far more vast than us than we really give it credit for,” Bryce Sorensen, founder of Sigmatic Mushrooms, explains.

Once upon a time, Bryce was hit by a truck and while Western Medicine had its place in his recovery, Bryce now takes a more holistic approach. “I've kind of always been a spiritual person my entire life growing up not knowing that that was called spirituality.

I was just very much attune with life and nature,” Bryce shared. The lake or mountains were Bryce’s “church”, having never attended traditional church services.

Bryce’s sense of wonder is not limited by the winds of change in the outside world. “Whether it's from an injury, whether it's from heartbreak, whether it's from whatever, it's when you actually take the time to stop and go deep in and focus on what is coming up,” Bryce encouraged, speaking to his approach to life.  One of the solutions he found was the medicinal properties of mushrooms.

“You are what you eat and so there's no truer statement than that,” Bryce shared, reflecting on all he learned about mushrooms and why they are so powerful. From the immunological effects, the ability to calm or energize, the antioxidant and anti-aging properties, there are so many reasons Bryce is a fan.

With mushrooms being particularly useful in stress management and with the detrimental impacts of cancer, mushrooms can be particularly helpful for supporting ongoing wellness and longevity. Being able to integrate mushrooms into an existing daily routine can be helpful to take advantage of all the benefits.

Even if you’ve never tried mushrooms before, there are ways to use this ingredient for your health and wellness. To learn more, listen to Bryce's interview on the "Balanced, Beautiful, Abundant" Show by clicking here...
