How to be a Goal Digger

Being a Goal Digger with Kimberly Olson

July 20, 2021

If you’re coachable, if you’re hungry, if you’re driven and you’re wise, bigger than your excuses you can create anything that you want in your life.

You either do or don’t. The word “try” is weak and it is rooted in self-doubt. You have to speak truth to yourself.  You’ve got to look at yourself in the mirror and say “I am amazing”. If you’re not doing that, then you’ve got some work to do. There’s some reprogramming that needs to happen in your subconscious mind.

Most of our thoughts are on auto-pilot because they’re the same thoughts and beliefs that we’ve been carrying for decades. So instead of saying “Try” challenge yourself to refrain from saying it, instead say “I’m gonna keep going until I’m successful and I am not going to stop. There are no other options."

Deciding, means you make a decision. It is cutting away all other options.

Make a decision and then stick to it

The pivot goes by the nudge. Like that internal whisper. That's your guidance system. That's your inner voice and your inner voice is never wrong. You already have the answers inside of you

Are you pivoting because you’re bored? You’re not following through? The excitement has passed? Ask yourself. Get quiet and say “What do I really know? What do I really need to do here” and you’re going to know if you’ll think about it deeply.

If you feel afraid of that decision, it is probably the right way to go because it will lead you to the growth that you need.

However, if you are constantly pivoting. You can’t get traction with that. So it is best to set a deadline and reassess afterwards.

Start with one project at a time until you master it and you know you’ll be consistent. You can add another project to your load  when you are confident of the results.

Don’t be a #spammella. A spammella is someone that is pitching their offers/what they do without getting permission. It’s when we aren’t seeing people as people. We need to ask questions, qualify them, and get a pain point, identify them before offering solutions.

Don’t treat people like a number. Don’t go cold messaging someone without knowing them first.

The best way to start a conversation if you are directly reaching out to your leads is to be human. Start with a friendly greeting, you must get to know them first. Check out their profile and let them know what you’ve noticed about them. Examples are the things that you have in common, their hobbies, their job, etc. Let them know that you’ve looked at their profile and you’ve noticed those things about them. You should know some things about your people. They will then respond and be open.

They may or may not ask you about you but that’s okay. From that initial conversation you can then slowly transition it to introductions of your offer. Or integrate your responses with the products or the pitch that you have.

With managing your time, you can do a “time log”. Set schedules so you can manage your time well.

There are a lot of accessible applications that you can use as a platform to get leads or your network. Like TikTok, Captions and a lot more. You can get on a platform that vibe with your jam!

True transformation comes from what you let go of

“Be weird. Embrace the weird. Do your own thing and don’t try to conform.”

Take some time to heal yourself, love yourself, and really learn to trust yourself. You are good, you are whole, just the way you are! You are made perfectly in God’s image and you have everything you need in you now to have whatever that you want in life. Go after your dreams and goals unapologetically and don’t stop until you achieve what you want.
